Alexander 103 Double Horn, Used

This is a used Alexander 103 double horn. We can't tell the exact age, but it was made in West Germany, which means it was manufactured post-WWII and pre-Berlin Wall fall. There is a number 6812 stamped, but that's not always where a serial number is expected.
History
This 103 was originally sold to a horn player in the St. Petersburg Symphony as a fixed bell 103, unlacquered. Later the bell flare was cut and screw ring added, possibly while in Russia/USSR. Later the player visited the US and offered the horn for sale in the San Diego area. A local player bought it and has been using it for many years. The San Diego player just treated himself to a brand new Alexander, so this one is now available.
Update
Professionally serviced, ultrasonically cleaned and polished by Paul Klintworth. He also removed a dent from a branch and did a full restoration. Paul is a very good horn player and he almost bought it. "This is a nice horn and everyone in the LA Phil has an Alexander now and I don't have one." His opinion is that this has always been a good instrument because it's been played a lot. There is some wear to the metal inside and out due to age, but it still has another lifetime of use. Alexander instruments are heirloom quality. Paul wasn't quite happy with the polishing results because it shows all the blems. I don't mind, it's simply the glamor of a well-aged instrument.
Includes
Includes Alexander hard case which has been partially restored and looks spectacular. Also includes new Alexander accessory kit: lubricants, pencil holder, leather hand guard, luggage tag, nylon pouch.
Receiver is European size; some US mouthpieces may bottom out. A piece of plumbing tape around the shank usually solves it for testing.
